Kareem Steel

Kareem Steel is located down Malavalli Rama Rao Lane, right in the busy City Market area. It is a noisy part of town, but we have been at No. 15 for quite some time now. Most people know the lane because of the heavy traffic and the old buildings around here. We deal with various steel items every day. It is mostly just us handling the orders and making sure the metal gets to where it needs to go. Sometimes the trucks have a hard time getting into the lane because it is narrow, but we manage somehow. We start early in the morning when the market is just waking up. There is a lot of dust and the sound of iron hitting iron is constant. It is not a fancy office or anything like that. We have a small desk and some old chairs where we sit to talk to people who come by. Usually, it is local contractors or guys looking for specific sizes of rods or sheets. We don't spend money on big signs or ads because most folks just find us by walking through the market. If you are looking for us, look for the stack of metal near the entrance of the lane. We try to keep things simple here. There is no complicated paperwork, just writing things down in our register and getting the work done. It is a tough job sometimes, especially in the heat, but this is what we do.
