Karavali

We are tucked away in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar. The address is 41308, though most people just look for the sign near the main stretch. Karavali is what we call the place. It's mostly about the food from the coast. We get a lot of people who moved here from the seaside and miss the taste of home. The kitchen is small and it gets very hot in there during the lunch rush. We do a lot of fish and rice dishes. It’s not a quiet place. There is always the sound of scraping pans and people talking over their meals. We don't use a lot of fancy equipment. Just the usual stuff you'd find in a home kitchen, only on a much bigger scale. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we're usually too busy to get around to doing it. We've been in RT Nagar for a good while now. We know the mailman and the shopkeepers next door. It feels like a neighborhood spot more than a business sometimes. We don't do delivery apps much because we prefer people just coming in and sitting down. It's easier that way for everyone. Sometimes we run out of certain items by the evening. That's just how it goes when you buy fresh stuff in the morning. We aren't trying to be the biggest or best restaurant in town. We just want to make sure the food tastes right and the plates are full for whoever walks in.
