Kanyalal Himalaya Metal Mart

We sit on Doddakallasandra Main Road at number 19. It’s a metal mart, so expect to see a lot of shiny things when you walk in. We mostly sell household items like stainless steel pots, pans, and buckets. We also have some brass and copper stuff if people are looking for traditional items for their kitchen or for a ceremony. It’s a bit noisy because when you move the stock, it clangs. The shelves go all the way to the ceiling. We have to use a tall ladder to get the big pots down. Many people come here when they are setting up a new house. They want things that will last for twenty years, not plastic that breaks. We understand that. We’ve been on this main road for a long time. You get all kinds of people walking in. Some haggle over the price of a tiffin box, others just pick what they need and go. We don't have a computer system for billing; we still do it mostly by hand or just remember the prices. It’s more personal that way. The shop gets hot in the summer because of all the metal reflecting the light, but we keep the fans going. We aren't trying to be a fancy mall store. We just sell good, solid metalware that does the job. If you need a heavy-bottomed pan for cooking, we probably have three or four types for you to check. We stay open pretty late too.
