You’ll find us out in the Peenya Industrial Area, specifically at the Rameshwar Industrial Estate on Canal Road. Kanodia Alloy Steel Corporation is right behind the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board building, so that’s usually the easiest way to find the turn. Dealing with alloy steel means a lot of heavy lifting and moving large pieces of metal around the yard. It’s a gritty environment, and there is always the sound of cranes or trucks in the background. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a good while. The canal road can get pretty muddy when it rains, which makes moving the steel a bit more of a challenge. We mostly spend our time cutting metal to size or loading up trailers for transport. It’s the kind of work where you need to wear heavy boots and keep your eyes open. We don’t have a big corporate team; it’s mostly just the folks who know how to handle the material and get it where it needs to go. Peenya is a big place, and it’s easy to get lost, but we’ve made our home here among all the other factories. Every day is pretty much the same—checking the stock, talking to the drivers, and making sure the orders are stacked correctly. It’s not a clean job, and it’s definitely not quiet, but it’s what we do. We just keep the steel moving. It is heavy, hard work, but someone has to do it.
