Kamlesh Steel

Down here in Peenya Industrial Area, things move pretty fast. Kamlesh Steel is located at 38B1 in the second phase. It’s a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to the layout of these blocks. We spend our days surrounded by stacks of steel. It’s loud because of the machinery nearby and the constant flow of lorries. We’ve been in this spot for quite some years. The walls are a bit stained from the dust, and the floor is always covered in scraps. We do what we can to keep things moving. It isn't a fancy place with air conditioning. We just have a few fans and the big open doors. Most of our customers are locals from around Bangalore who need material for their projects. We deal with all sorts of people, from big site managers to guys just looking for a single rod. It’s honest work. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to load the trucks, but we manage. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. Just a steel yard in the middle of a busy industrial zone. We start early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. By the time evening rolls around, we’re usually pretty tired. There is always more steel to move tomorrow. That's just how the life is at Peenya. We keep it simple and just do what needs doing every single day.
