Kamakshi Iron And Steel is a small place located at 41519 in Ulsoor, right on the corner of 3rd Cross and 3rd Main. We deal with exactly what the name says, which is iron and steel. Our yard is usually full of rods, sheets, and scraps of metal waiting to be used for something useful. It’s a very practical business. We aren't trying to be fancy or look like a big showroom. People come here when they need materials for a gate, a roof, or some construction work they are doing nearby. Ulsoor is an old neighborhood, and we really like being part of it. The streets are a bit narrow, so getting the big trucks in and out can be a real struggle on some mornings. We often have to coordinate with the neighbors so we don't block the road for too long. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and moving stuff around by hand or with simple tools. We don't have a mission statement or a fancy philosophy to tell. We just sell metal and try to give people a fair price for it. Sometimes the rain makes everything a bit of a mess in the yard, but we just dry things off and keep going. It’s a straightforward way to make a living, and it keeps us on our feet all day long. We've been here for years and hope to stay for many more to come.
