Over at No. 4, on the 2nd Cross of 23rd Main in Marenahalli, you will find Kalyani Kichen Equipments. We are right in the heart of J.P. Nagar 2nd Phase, which is a mix of houses and small businesses all crammed together. The 2nd cross is one of those narrow lanes where parking is a nightmare, so we usually tell people to just pull up quickly or find a spot further down the main road. The workshop is always noisy because someone is always cutting metal or welding something together for a kitchen setup. You can hear the screech of the grinders and the sound of stainless steel sheets being moved around. It is a very hands-on place. There is no air conditioning in the main area, just a few big ceiling fans that try their best to push the air around. We have various stove parts, sinks, and counters leaning against the walls in different stages of being finished. It’s a bit messy, with scraps of metal on the floor and tools left on the benches, but we know our way around the chaos. Most of us have been working here for a long time, and we just go about our business without much fuss. It is a local operation, serving the neighborhood and beyond, and we don't feel the need to make it look like a fancy showroom. It’s just a kitchen equipment shop in J.P. Nagar.
