Kalasiri Botique

If you go to Mahalaxmi Puram, you can find Kalasiri Botique. It is just a small shop where we handle clothes and tailoring. We have been here for a good while, and most of the women in the neighborhood know us. It is not a high-end fashion house with runways; it is just a place where people bring their fabrics to get something made. We have a couple of sewing machines going most of the day. The sound of the stitching is pretty constant. Sometimes it gets really crowded before a big festival or wedding season. We have scraps of cloth and thread everywhere, but there is a system to the mess. We do not really do ads or anything. People just see the sign outside or hear about us from their friends. We try to be fair with everyone who walks through the door. It is a lot of sitting and focusing on the details. My eyes get tired by the end of the day, but that is the work. Mahalaxmi Puram is a nice place to have a shop. It is a friendly area where people stop to chat while they are out running errands. We do not have any big plans to expand or become a huge brand. We just like making things that people are happy to wear. It is a quiet life, mostly, except when the machines are humming. We are just local people doing what we know how to do.
