Shafis Timber

Shafis Timber has been sitting on Hennur Main Road for a long time. We are located right in Kacharkanahalli, pretty much opposite the Anjanaya Temple. It’s hard to miss us with all the stacks of wood piled up high near the entrance. The smell of sawdust is always in the air here, and we’ve gotten used to it. It’s a family-run kind of place. We get all kinds of people coming in looking for planks or beams for their houses or shops. Some want teak, others want something a bit cheaper for a small project. We just show them what we have in the yard at the moment. It can get a bit messy when it rains, trying to keep everything dry under the plastic sheets. We don't have a website or anything like that to show off. People just see the sign while driving by and stop their cars. Sometimes we have to help load heavy logs onto trucks, which is back-breaking work for the staff. But we’ve grown used to the physical side of it over the years. My father started this and now we just keep it going as best as we can. It’s a simple business. You need wood, you come here, you pick what you like, and we cut it to size if needed. The temple across the road is a good landmark for people who get lost trying to find us.
