K V M Provision Store

Our store is located on Nagappa Street in the Sunkadakatte area. It has been a family business for a long time, and I took it over from my father about ten years ago. We sell all the usual provisions like rice, pulses, sugar, and cooking oil. It is a simple setup with wooden counters and shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. The morning time is always the most chaotic because that is when everyone is out buying milk and eggs for breakfast. I usually have a news station playing on a small television behind the counter to keep me company when things are slow in the afternoon. We know almost everyone who walks through the door by their first name. It is that kind of neighborhood. The street outside can get quite noisy with all the traffic, so we keep a big fan running inside to drown out some of the sound. Sometimes my younger son helps me out after his school gets over, especially when we have to move the heavy sacks of grain from the back. We don't have a delivery van or anything like that, so people just carry their bags home or use their scooters. The shop is a bit old-fashioned, and the paint is peeling in some corners, but it serves the purpose. We just try to keep the staples in stock and treat people fairly when they come in to do their shopping.
