Wood On Furniture

We have been here in KR Puram for quite a while now. The shop is on the ground floor on Basanapura Main Road. Most days it's just us working with wood and making tables or beds. People come by looking for something that won't fall apart after a month. We don't do fancy showroom stuff. It's mostly sawdust and noise here. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud, but we just keep working. We started Wood On Furniture because we knew how to handle tools. If you're near Site No. 50, you'll probably see the wood stacked up. It isn't a huge operation, just a few of us making things. We get some orders from neighbors and some from further away. The wood we use varies depending on what's available and what people want. It’s hard work, honestly. My hands are usually covered in stains or dust by the end of the shift. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Bangalore. We just want to finish the job and get it delivered on time. Sometimes things take a bit longer if the weather is humid and the finish won't dry. But we always tell people the truth about how long it takes. That's just how we do things here. If you need a chair fixed or a new shelf, we’re usually around from morning till evening, unless we are out on a delivery.
