K H K Steels

Our place is located on Kamanahalli Main Road in R S Palaya. We’re pretty close to where the Venkateshwara Tent used to be, which is how most people find us. K H K Steels is basically a big warehouse and a small front office. It’s quite loud most of the day because we’re constantly moving steel rods and metal sheets around. We don't have a fancy setup. The office is just a desk with a lot of ledgers and a computer that’s always a bit dusty. We deal with a lot of construction workers and local builders who need materials for their projects. Sometimes a homeowner comes in needing just a few iron bars for a small job. The guys working in the yard have been here for years. They’re good at what they do, even if the work is heavy and tiring. We open up early in the morning before the traffic on the main road gets too bad. By midday, it gets pretty warm under the roof, so we usually take a short break for lunch and some tea. It’s a messy business, and we often have grease and rust on our hands by the end of the day. We don't do much in the way of promotion. Most of our customers come here because they’ve been dealing with us for a long time. We just keep the stock moving and try to be as helpful as we can with whatever specific sizes or lengths people are looking for.
