K G V Chicken Centre

I'm over at the chicken center in Jayanagar, at number 781. It’s a small shop and we have been here for quite a while. Every morning we have to get things ready before the first customers show up, which means a lot of cleaning and prepping. The floor is concrete and we have to wash it down constantly to keep things tidy. It’s a bit of a damp environment, which is just part of the job. Jayanagar is a busy area, so we get a lot of people walking in, especially on the weekends when everyone wants to make a big meal at home. We have a few regular guys who come in every single week and we already know exactly what they want without them asking. The work is physical and you are on your feet all day. My hands are usually cold from the ice and the water. We don't have any fancy music playing or anything, just the sound of the knives and the people talking outside. It’s a simple business at K G V Chicken Centre. We don't do anything special, just cut the meat and wrap it up in plastic. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the shop if more than three people are waiting at once. We just try to work fast and get everyone what they need so they can get back to their day. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy.
