K G N Steel is located at 25-B Basaveshwara Nagar on the 3rd E Cross. If you are looking for our shop, we are right opposite the KEB Office. You can usually hear us before you actually see us because of all the metal cutting and welding going on inside. There are sparks flying most of the day and the smell of hot metal is everywhere. We deal with all kinds of steel rods, flat sheets, and heavy frames. The shop is basically a big open shed with high ceilings to try and keep the heat out. It is very cluttered with offcuts and scrap metal piled up in the corners. We do not have a front desk or anyone to answer the phones in a professional voice. If the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands on a rag and picks it up. Most of our customers are local builders or people looking to get a simple gate or window grill fixed. We have been in Basaveshwara Nagar for quite some time now and the KEB staff across the road know us pretty well. It is a tough, physical job and our clothes are always stained with rust or oil by the end of the shift. We do not mind the mess because that is just part of working with steel. We just focus on getting the measurements right and making sure the welds are strong.
