Jyothy Industries

You can find Jyothy Industries over at No. 31, Pampamahakavi Road. It’s a nice area in Basavangudi, near Shankrapuram. We have been in this neighborhood for a long time now. The building is a bit old but it’s solid. We do industrial work here, mostly small-scale manufacturing for various clients. The machines can be quite loud, so we usually keep the doors closed to not bother the neighbors too much during the day. Inside, it’s all rows of workbenches and tools. It’s a bit cramped because we’ve added more stuff over the years. We have a handful of workers who live nearby and walk to work. They know the routine well. We don’t do big fancy presentations for our customers. Usually, a customer comes in with a sketch or a part that broke, and we see if we can make a new one for them. It’s straightforward work. The smell of oil and cut metal is always in the air here. We keep a ledger for all the orders, handwritten mostly. It’s just easier that way for us to track things. Basavangudi is a busy place, so parking near the shop can be a bit of a headache sometimes. But once you're inside, it's just us doing what we know how to do. We’ve been at it for years and haven't seen a reason to change much. It’s a quiet living.
