Jyothi Food Products

You’ll find Jyothi Food Products over in Jayanagar 6th Block, at 122/49 MSR Main Road. We make and sell a variety of food items, mostly things like snacks and spice powders that people use every day in their kitchens. The place smells like roasted spices most of the time, which I’ve grown to like, though it can be a bit much for some people when they first walk in. I started this in a very small way, and it’s grown a bit since then, but it’s still just a local operation. We have a few machines for grinding and mixing, and we do all the packaging right here. It’s a lot of manual labor, filling the packets and sealing them up one by one. My family helps out quite a bit, especially when we have a large order to finish by the weekend. We don't use any preservatives or anything fancy, just plain ingredients we buy from the market. The shop front is small, so most people just see the counter and the shelves behind it. MSR Main Road is quite busy, so we get a lot of people just dropping in while they're out on errands or going to work. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything. Most people know us because they’ve tried our snacks and liked them. Sometimes we run out of certain items because we can't make them fast enough. It’s just how it is.
