Jumbo King

Down here at Koramangala VI Bk, things move pretty fast. Being right in K H B Colony at number 126 means we get a lot of foot traffic throughout the day. We’re just a small crew here at Jumbo King, mostly focusing on getting those vada pavs ready as quick as we can. The kitchen gets hot, especially when the lunchtime rush starts and everyone from the nearby offices comes down at the same time. You can hear the oil sizzling and the sound of the wrappers being pulled all day long. We don't really have a lot of space for people to sit and linger, so it’s mostly folks grabbing something on their way to work or back home. Sometimes we run out of certain items if the delivery truck is late, and that’s always a bit of a headache, but we manage. The street outside is always noisy with bikes and cars honking, but that’s just part of being in this part of town. We try to keep the counters wiped down and the stock organized between orders. Nobody would call this a fancy place, just a spot to get some food when you’re hungry and in a hurry. Most of the regulars know us by name now, and we know exactly what they’re going to order before they even open their mouths. This job is busy, but it keeps us on our toes. Sometimes we have to deal with the rain leaking in near the entrance, but we just put out a bucket and keep going.
