Job Destination

Job Destination is our small setup over on Diagonal Road in Tilak Nagar, at 28/8. It’s basically just an office where we help people figure out where they can find work. We have a lot of resumes piled up on the desks and a few computers that stay on all day. People walk in looking for different kinds of roles, and we sit down to talk with them about what they’ve done before. Tilak Nagar is pretty central, so we get a lot of foot traffic from the main road. The office isn't very big, so if three or four people come in at once, it feels full. We spend a lot of time calling different companies to see who is hiring. It’s a lot of talking and taking notes. Sometimes the tea lady comes by and we take a break. The walls are mostly covered in calendars and some lists of openings. We try to keep things simple. There’s no big corporate vibe here, just us trying to match people with whatever jobs are available. The street noise from Diagonal Road is constant, but you get used to it after a while. We’ve been here for a bit now, and we know the other shop owners on the block. It’s just a regular day-to-day operation, nothing too fancy. We just hope to help someone find a decent spot to work. Sometimes the printer jams when we are trying to copy a resume, but we fix it.
