We are over in HAL 3rd stage, right on the 6th main. Thippasandra is a weird place because it feels like a village and a city at the same time. The post office is right there, which is handy when we actually have to mail something. 6th cross is narrower than you’d think, so parking is always a headache for anyone visiting. Most of the time, we just park the bikes on the sidewalk. Our office at 632/B has these heavy wooden doors that creak every time someone walks in. The landlord lives upstairs, so we have to keep the noise down during lunch. Bangalore 75 has changed a lot since we first got here. There used to be more empty lots, but now it’s just buildings everywhere. We spend a lot of time just looking out the window at the people walking to the market. The flower sellers set up early, and you can smell the jasmine if the wind is right. It’s not a polished corporate office. The walls could use a new coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound on high speed. We’ve thought about fixing it, but it’s sort of part of the place now. Usually, the afternoon sun hits the front desk around 3 o'clock, making it too hot to sit there for an hour. We just move to the back until it cools off. It’s a bit messy, with stacks of paper on the floor and some old coffee mugs, but it’s home for us.
