We are up on the third floor of a building called 'The Estate' at 121, Dickenson Road. It’s a decent spot to be in, and being on the third floor gives us a bit of a view of the street. It’s not a very big office, but it’s enough for us to handle the steel business. We spend a lot of our time on the phone or looking at spreadsheets. It’s not as hands-on as being at a mill, but it’s still plenty of work. The atmosphere is usually pretty relaxed, though things can get frantic when a big deadline is coming up. We don't have any formal uniforms or anything. Most of us just wear what’s comfortable for a day in the office. We go down to the local cafes for lunch and see the same people every day. Dickenson Road is a familiar place for us now. We’ve been here long enough that the security guards know us all. We don't put much effort into making the place look fancy. It’s mostly just desks and computers. We are here to get the business side of the steel industry sorted out. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the numbers add up. It’s a steady job and we like the people we work with. It's been our base for a long time.
