Working at a foundry like Jayashree Alloy Steel Foundry Pvt. Ltd. is not for everyone. We are located at No. 549 in the IV Phase of Peenya Industrial Area. If you know Peenya, you know it’s a huge place dedicated to manufacturing. Our foundry is a place of fire and sand. We spend our days melting down alloy steel and pouring it into molds. It’s physically demanding and the heat can be intense, especially when the furnaces are at full blast. Everyone here wears heavy boots and protective gear, and by the end of the day, we’re all covered in a fine layer of dust and soot. It’s not a clean environment, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing liquid metal take a solid shape. We don't have a polished front office. Most of the administrative stuff happens in a small room that’s partitioned off from the main floor, and even there, the noise of the machines is constant. We don’t make big speeches about what we do; we just focus on the quality of the castings and getting the pours right. There’s a lot of coordination needed to make sure everything goes safely. We just show up, do the heavy lifting, and make sure the foundry keeps running. It’s a gritty, tough job, and we take it as it comes every single day.
