Janapriya Stores

Janapriya Stores is our little shop located in the 2nd Stage of Electronic City. We are specifically found in the Ramakrishna Layout on the 2nd Main Road. It is a neighborhood spot where people come for their basic daily needs. We sell everything from bags of rice and lentils to soap, milk, and snacks for the kids. It is not a giant supermarket, so things can get a bit cramped when it gets busy in the evenings. We know most of the people who live around the Ramakrishna Layout area. They stop by in the mornings for fresh milk or after work for whatever they forgot to buy for their dinner. We spend a lot of our day stocking the shelves and weighing out items for customers. It is a lot of standing around on our feet, but we get to talk to the neighbors, which makes the time go by faster. Sometimes the delivery truck blocks the narrow road and we have to move things quickly, but we try to manage. It is a simple business. We do not have fancy barcode scanners or a website. We just use a small notebook and a calculator most of the time to keep track. The lights in the back sometimes flicker, and the floor could probably use a new coat of paint, but it feels like home. We have been here since before this whole area got so busy with tech offices. Even with the big modern stores opening up nearby, our regular families still come to see us.
