Janany General Stores is tucked away at No.1029/D on 17th E Cross in Indira Nagar 2nd Stage. We’re right opposite the Chitu, which helps people find us in this maze of residential streets. Indira Nagar has changed a lot over the years with all the big shops, but we’ve tried to keep things simple here. The shop is filled with the kind of stuff you need for a kitchen—spices, oils, lentils, and such. We also keep some stationery and basic household cleaners. It’s a quiet part of the neighborhood compared to the main roads, so we know most of our customers by their first names. We spend a lot of time just chatting with neighbors while we pack their bags. The shop is a bit old-fashioned; we don't have those bright lights or loud music you see in the malls nowadays. It’s just us and our wooden shelves. Sometimes the stock arrives late and we have to spend the whole evening sorting through boxes, but we don't really mind the work. We keep a simple ledger for our accounts and don't rely on much technology at all. It’s a reliable little place for the people living nearby to get what they need without any fuss. We just try to stay stocked up on the basics and keep the place tidy. It’s a small family business and we’re quite happy with how things are. We just want to be the place you can count on.
