Our base is at B/1 in Yeshwantpur, right near the Old Airport Road. It is mostly a yard and a small office space where we keep all the packing supplies. You will usually see rolls of bubble wrap and stacks of brown cardboard boxes sitting around. Most of our life is spent in the back of trucks or carrying heavy furniture down narrow hallways. We start very early in the morning, often before the sun is really up, to get the loading done before the traffic gets bad in Yeshwantpur. Moving things is hard work, and our clothes usually end up pretty dusty by the end of a shift. We use a lot of packing tape, and that sound of it peeling off the roll is something we hear all day long. The office part is just for keeping the schedules and the logbooks. We don't have a website or anything fancy; most people just find us by the address or see our trucks moving around the city. It is a straightforward business where we just pick things up from one place and put them down in another. Sometimes we have to navigate tight corners or steep stairs, which is always a challenge. The Old Airport Road area is a good spot for us to reach different parts of town quickly. It is just us and our trucks, doing the work as it comes in.
