Jagannath Rice Mill

It’s a bit unusual to have a rice mill like Jagannath Rice Mill right here in Indiranagar. We’re located on Chinmaya Mission Hospital Road, near H Colony. The traffic outside is always a mess, and people are always rushing somewhere. Inside the mill, it’s a different world. We’ve got the old machinery humming along, and it’s a lot slower than the city outside. The building is an old one, and it feels a bit cramped compared to the new shops popping up all around us. We have trucks coming in early in the morning before the traffic gets too bad, but sometimes they get stuck in the narrow street. It’s a lot of manual labor, moving the bags around and making sure the quality is okay. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our business is done right there on the floor amidst the noise. The floor is always covered in a thin layer of white dust, no matter how much we sweep. It gets really hot in there during the middle of the day, and we usually have a few fans going that don't do much. People living in the fancy houses nearby sometimes complain about the noise, but we were here first. It’s a strange mix of old-fashioned work in a very modern part of town. We just keep doing what we’ve always done, bag by bag, every single day.
