Jagan Steels

We've been here at J-103 in Lakshmi Narayan Puram for a good while now. The yard is usually quite busy with trucks coming in and out from the 80 Feet Road. Jagan Steels isn't a fancy place, just a regular spot where we handle all kinds of steel rods and sheets. You’ll mostly find us out back moving things around or checking the inventory lists. It gets dusty, especially when the wind picks up off the Peripheral Road, but that’s just how it is working with metal. People stop by all the time asking for specific cuts or weights. Sometimes we have what they need right away, and other times we have to tell them to wait a couple of days until the next shipment arrives. It’s hard work, lifting and loading under the sun, but we get it done. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we first set up on 1st Cross. More shops have opened up around us, making the street a bit tighter for the big lorries to turn. We try to keep things organized, though the piles of rebar don't always look neat. If you walk past, you'll hear the sound of metal clanging and the guys shouting to be heard over the traffic. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t do anything flashy here. We just make sure the orders are weighed correctly and people get what they paid for. It’s been our routine for years and we just keep on doing it.
