Jagadish Fabricators

Out here in Peenya Industrial Area, it’s all about metal and welding. We are on the 18th Main. The address is 155. It’s near Sri Raja Rajeshwari Nagar. The sound of machines is constant from morning to evening. We do fabrication, mostly steel and iron bits for buildings and sheds. There’s always dust on everything. We don't mind it. It’s honest work. My hands are usually stained with grease by lunchtime. We have a couple of old machines that still run perfectly. The space is a bit cramped when we have big orders from the factories nearby. We try to organize the scrap pile every Friday but it just grows back. People from the nearby shops come over to borrow tools sometimes. We all know each other on this block. The 18th Main gets very dusty when the wind picks up. We have a small desk in the corner for the bills. Most of the time we are on the floor working. It’s not a quiet place to sit and think. If you are looking for us, look for the blue gates. They need a new coat of paint. We’ve been meaning to do that for months now. Life goes by fast when you are busy cutting and joining metal. We just focus on getting the pieces right. It’s what we do every single day without fail. Sometimes we stay late for big jobs.
