J S Associates

The office is tucked away in Domlur 23, and it’s usually pretty quiet until the phones start ringing around mid-morning. J S Associates isn’t the kind of place with big signs or flashy lights. We just have a desk, some chairs, and a lot of paper everywhere. I spend most of my day looking at documents and making sure things are filed where they belong. The window looks out onto the street, and I see the same delivery guys passing by every afternoon. Sometimes the tea man comes around and we take a short break. It’s funny how you get used to the rhythm of a small office. The printer jams every once in a while, which is annoying, but we fix it and move on. People come in with folders under their arms, looking a bit stressed, and we just try to help them figure out whatever they need. There’s a small plant in the corner that I forget to water sometimes, but it’s still hanging in there. My chair squeaks when I lean back, which reminds me I should probably oil it one of these days. We’ve been in this spot for a bit, and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home. It’s just work, you know? Nothing too complicated. We show up, do what needs doing, and then lock up when the sun goes down.
