Our shop is tucked away in 1st Khetwadi Lane, right at Shop No. 10 in the Badrikashram building. If you know the area, you know how tight these lanes get. J B Steel has been sitting here for a good bit now. It’s not a huge place, just a regular shop where we keep our stock and handle the daily grind. Usually, it’s quite noisy outside with the traffic and people walking by. We deal with steel mostly, which is heavy and can be messy. My hands are usually a bit dusty by noon. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything; it’s just us answering the phone and helping whoever walks through the door. Some days are packed with deliveries, and other days we just sit and wait for the next order to come in. The building itself is an old one, got that classic Mumbai feel to it. We know most of the other shop owners around here. It’s a community. When someone needs a specific bit of steel work done, they usually find their way to us because we've been in the same spot for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get the orders right and keep things moving. That’s about all there is to tell. Just a local business in Khetwadi doing its thing, day after day, without any fancy airs or graces.
