Around here on Narasimharaja Road, the day usually starts before the sun is even fully up. We’ve been operating Irshad Steel Suppliers out of this spot near Madhu Steel for quite a while now. It’s a busy area on RC Marg, and there’s always a bit of a rumble from the traffic passing by. Our space is usually filled with the sound of metal clanking and the smell of raw iron. We aren’t much for fancy decorations or big signs, as the work itself is pretty straightforward and messy. Most days are spent moving heavy stacks around or checking inventory lists that seem to never end. Being right in this part of town means we get all sorts of people stopping by, from builders who know exactly what they need to folks who are just looking around for a small project. The guys in the back are usually covered in some kind of grease or dust by noon, but that’s just how it goes in this trade. We keep a pot of tea going most of the time because the afternoon slump hits hard when you’re dealing with heavy materials. Sometimes the rain makes things tricky, especially with the outdoor sections, but we manage to keep things moving. It’s a plain, hardworking place where we just focus on getting the steel out the door without making a big fuss about it. We’ve grown used to the quirks of this old building over the years.
