IPG Photonics (India) Pvt. Ltd. is located over at No. 27 in Tirumala Tech Park. If you know the Doddenakundi Industrial Area, you know it is always a lot of traffic and people trying to get things done. Being in Mahadevpura Post means we are right in the thick of everything. The office is one of those places where there is always someone staring at a screen or checking a component. It is not a noisy factory like some other places nearby, but it is definitely busy in a different way. We spend a lot of time looking at technical stuff and making sure every piece works right. Sometimes the tea man comes by and that is the highlight of the afternoon when everyone takes five minutes to just sit and talk. It is a tech park, so everything looks a bit square and organized, but inside our unit, it is just us trying to keep up with the schedule. The air conditioning usually works, which is a blessing in the heat, but there is always a bit of stress when a deadline is close. People here have been working together for a long time, so we know who likes their coffee strong and who prefers to work in silence. It is a plain place, nothing too special to look at from the outside, but it is where we spend most of our waking hours. We just focus on the photonics side of things and try not to get too distracted by the noise.
