We've been here at Ved Road for a long time now. My father started the workshop and now I mostly handle things with a few guys who help out. It's a lot of metal work every day, making tools for the farmers who come by. Some days it gets really hot in the shop because of the welding and the sun hitting the roof. We're over near Balaji Nagar, specifically at 9/10 C V Raman Nagar. People usually find us easily if they know the Dabholi Road area. Our actual spot is Ved Road 49/1. It isn't a fancy place at all. There are stacks of iron and parts everywhere you look. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend the whole morning fixing a lathe instead of finishing a customer's order. It’s just how it goes here. Most of our work is making sure the implements are sturdy enough to actually work in the fields without breaking. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. Mostly people just know we are here and they walk in when something breaks or they need a new plow part. I spend most of my time covered in grease and dust, but it’s honest work. The neighbors are mostly other workshops and small businesses, so it’s a bit noisy during the day. We open up pretty early and stay until the light fades. It's just a regular local shop doing what we've always done.
