We operate out of Unit B-117 on the 3rd Main Road in Peenya's 2nd Stage. It’s an industrial area, so it’s pretty much what you’d expect—lots of trucks and noise. We work with DMLS technology, which is basically 3D printing with metal. It sounds high-tech, and it is, but the daily reality is just a lot of monitoring machines and checking parts. The workshop can get pretty warm, especially in the afternoons. We aren't a big corporate outfit with a HR department for everything. We're just a group of people who are really into how these machines work. Sometimes a print doesn't go right and we have to start all over again. That's just part of the process. We don't spend money on fancy marketing stuff. We’d rather spend it on the equipment. Being in the 2nd Stage of Peenya means we’re surrounded by other workshops, so there’s always someone to borrow a tool from if we're in a pinch. It’s a practical environment. We have our tea breaks together and talk about whatever is going on. It’s not a flashy life, but we like the challenge of making things out of metal powder. We’ve been here for a bit now and we've found our rhythm. Just a regular bunch of folks working in an industrial shed, trying to make things that actually work for our clients.
