We are over at number 76 in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar. Indian Traders is a simple setup, really. We spend most of our time checking lists and making sure the stock is where it’s supposed to be. The building is older, so it has its quirks, like the door that sticks when it rains. We don’t have a big office or anything like that, just a desk with a computer that’s a bit slow and some shelves for our files. RT Nagar is a nice area, though it can get noisy with all the shops around. We usually start the day with a quick sweep of the floor and a look at what needs to get out the door. It’s a lot of phone calls and writing things down on scrap paper so we don’t forget. Sometimes we run out of space and have to stack things in the hallway for a few hours. It’s just the way it is when you’re running a small trade business. We’ve known some of our customers for years, and they know we’re just regular people trying to do a decent job. There’s no big corporate vibe here, just us in our work clothes. We have a small fan that rattles in the corner, and the tea guy comes by twice a day, which is something we look forward to. It’s a steady routine that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday, and we don't really mind the hard work. We just keep our heads down and get through the inventory until it is time to close up.
