India Food Supply

If you ever go down to the A P M C Yard in Yeshwantpur, you’ll find us at unit 41533. It’s a massive place, really loud and busy from before the sun even comes up. We deal with the food supply chain right from the heart of the market. There are sacks of grain and pulses everywhere you look. It’s dusty work and there’s always someone shouting for a loader or a driver to move. Our spot is just one of many, but we’ve been here long enough to know the neighbors. We don't have a website or fancy branding. We just have the name India Food Supply on the board. The paperwork usually piles up on the old wooden desk in the corner. We try to keep things organized, but when ten trucks show up at once, things get chaotic. That’s just the nature of the yard. We work with wholesalers and farmers mostly. It’s a lot of physical labor, lifting bags and counting stock. The tea stall nearby is where we spend our breaks, talking about the prices that day. We don’t do much else besides this. It’s a simple operation based on being where the food is. You can smell the different spices and grains as soon as you walk into our section. We don’t worry about the polish, we just care that the bags are full and the weights are right.
