Maharaja Furnitures

Maharaja Furnitures is located at No. 33/1 Imperial Court on Cunningham Road. Cunningham Road is one of those places that feels a bit more upscale, but our shop is mostly about the smell of wood and polish. When you walk into No. 33/1, you’ll see sofas, tables, and chairs everywhere. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes because we try to fit as much as we can onto the floor. Imperial Court is a well-known building, but we just focus on our own corner of it. We spend a lot of time moving things around to make room for new arrivals. It’s heavy work, and our backs often feel it by the end of the day. There is always a bit of sawdust or lint in the air, which is just part of being around furniture all the time. We don't have any fancy sales speeches; we just show people what we have available. Some days are very quiet and we just sit and wait for someone to walk in, while other days are a bit more frantic with deliveries going out. The lighting in here isn't perfect, but it shows the wood grains well enough. We’ve been here at this address for a long time, watching the shops around us change while we stay mostly the same. It is just a lot of hard work and heavy lifting at the end of the day.
