Maharaja Furniture

We are located at No. 33/1 in the Imperial Court building on Itp Road. If you are driving down that way, you will see us easily enough. The shop is filled with all kinds of furniture pieces we have collected or made. There is usually the smell of wood and polish in the air when you walk in. We spend a lot of our time moving sofas and tables around to make space for new stock. It is heavy work, and our backs often feel it by the end of the day. The Imperial Court area is quite active, so we get a fair amount of people just wandering in to look at what we have. We don't have a big sales team or anything like that. It is mostly just us showing people the different chairs or cupboards and telling them how they were made. Some of the pieces have been sitting here for a bit, while others go out the door as soon as they arrive. We keep a notebook to track everything because computers can be a bit of a hassle sometimes. The floor is often covered in a bit of dust from the street, but we try to sweep it out every morning. It is a practical business. We aren't trying to be a fancy showroom; we just want to provide decent furniture to whoever needs it. It’s a long day from start to finish, and we usually close up quite late.
