Ib Group Manpower Consultancy is on the second floor of building number 65 right on Mosque Road in Frazer Town. If you have ever been to Mosque Road, you know it smells like good food almost all the time, which can be a bit of a distraction when you are trying to work. We have a flight of stairs you have to climb to get to us, and it can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of people coming in for interviews. The office is basically a few rooms where we keep all the files and folders for the people looking for jobs. We have some benches in the waiting area that are almost always full. It is a loud, energetic part of Bangalore, and the sounds from the street come right through the windows. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to different companies and checking resumes. The walls are covered with notices and calendars to keep track of everything. Our desks are usually buried under piles of paper, but we know where everything is. It is a simple operation, run by a handful of us who have been doing this for years. We take our breaks at the small tea stall just around the corner. The office might be a bit crowded and the furniture is definitely not new, but it is a place where a lot of actual work gets done every single day.
