Our place is located over in Banashankari 3rd Stage, right on L H Road. We are at number 42 in the Ghanshyam Nagar area. It’s a lively part of the city and there’s always something happening right outside our door. The shop isn’t huge, but it fits what we need for the day. We spend a lot of time just keeping things in order on the shelves. People wander in from the street all day long. Some stay for a bit to chat, others are in a big hurry. The sun hits the front windows pretty hard in the afternoon, so it gets warm inside quite often. We have a couple of fans that stay on all day to keep the air moving. The street noise from L H Road is constant, but after a while, you don't even hear the horns anymore. We’ve got some old furniture in the back where we take our breaks and eat lunch. It’s a straightforward kind of life here. We open up early and stay until the street lights come on. Dealing with the daily routine at Ghanshyam Nagar keeps us busy enough. There’s always a bit of dust coming in from the road that needs wiping down every morning. We don't use any fancy systems, just a simple way of doing things that works for us. The neighbors are mostly good people who have lived in Banashankari for a long time. It feels like home to us at number 42.
