Hindustan Tools & Components is tucked away over at 84/1 Kadugondanahalli, on the 1st Main. People sometimes get confused because we are technically part of the Rajajinagar Industrial Estate side of things but the address says Kadugondanahalli. It’s a bit of a trek from the City Market if the roads are blocked, which they usually are. Our space is filled with bins and shelves of all kinds of small parts. You’d be surprised how much time we spend just counting out components or looking for that one specific size of tool that someone needs. It’s dusty work and the shelves are always overflowing with stock. We don't have a big fancy showroom. If you walk in, you’re basically walking right into the middle of where we work. There’s usually a radio playing somewhere in the back and someone complaining about the price of materials. We just try to keep things organized enough that we can find what’s needed when a customer shows up. It’s a local business through and through, run by people who have been doing this since before the area got so crowded. We don’t have much to say about ourselves other than we are here every day from morning until late evening. The components don't move themselves, so we just keep busy with the orders and try to stay on top of the inventory in this little corner of the city. We keep a pot of coffee going and just deal with whatever order comes in next.
