Hindustan Steel Allied Industries

We've been over here at A-6 in the Hmt Industrial Estate for a while now. It’s a busy part of Jalahalli, and you can usually hear the noise of the machines from the street. Hindustan Steel Allied Industries is basically just a group of us working with metal every day. It gets hot in the workshop, especially in the afternoons, but that’s just how it is. We mostly spend our time handling steel orders and making sure things get loaded onto the trucks correctly. There’s always someone coming in or out of the gate. The estate itself is pretty old, so the roads aren't the best, but we've gotten used to it. Most of the guys have been here for years. We don't really do anything fancy. It's just about getting the steel cut or moved to where it needs to go. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a pain, but we just wait it out. Jalahalli is a good spot for this kind of work because it’s easy for the drivers to find us. If you walk past our unit, you’ll probably see a lot of raw material stacked up near the entrance. It's not the cleanest place, but it's where the work happens. We keep a small office in the front to handle the paperwork, though most of the day is spent on the floor. It’s a steady routine.
