Hind Metal has its home right in the middle of the hustle of Silver Jubilee Park Road. If you know Bangalore, you know how S J P Road can get, especially when trucks are loading and unloading. We are tucked away in Poojari Cheluvaiah Lane, specifically near the Cross 4 and 5 area. It is a tight spot, but we’ve managed to work out of here for a long time. Metal is a heavy business, and my hands usually show it by the end of the day. It gets sweaty in the summer, but we don't complain. We deal with various metal items, mostly stuff for local tradesmen and builders who need specific bits and pieces. There isn’t much space for a lobby or anything like that. You just come in, tell us what you’re looking for, and we see if we have it in the stacks. The lane is narrow, so it’s always a bit of a squeeze getting things in and out. We’ve seen the city turn into this huge tech hub, but down here on S J P Road, things still feel like the old days. People still prefer to talk face-to-face and haggle a little over the price of iron or brass. It’s noisy and dusty, but it is honest work that keeps us fed. We don’t have a website because the people who need us already know where the lane is. We just keep our heads down and keep the metal moving.
