Hi-Fabs

Hi-Fabs is based out of B-82 in the Dyavasandra Industrial Estate, right off White Field Road. If you know the area, you know how the traffic can be, especially with all the IT parks nearby. But in our little corner of the industrial estate, things are a bit more old-school. We do fabrication work, so there’s always the sound of welding and the smell of cut iron in the air. The shed has high ceilings to keep it from getting too stuffy, and we have various tools and machines scattered across the floor. It’s a place where we get our hands dirty every day. We don't have a polished front office with a receptionist. Usually, if you come by, you’ll find us wearing our work clothes and looking over some drawings on a wooden table. We’ve been in Dyavasandra for a good while, seeing the whole White Field area change around us. Despite all the big glass buildings nearby, we’ve stayed right here doing our regular work. It’s a bit messy, with offcuts of metal in the bins and grease on the floor, but that’s just the nature of fabrication. On rainy days, the sound on the metal roof is so loud we can hardly hear each other speak, so we just keep our heads down and work. It’s a decent living and we like the people we work with.
