Hearty Collection

Hearty Collection is located down in the cellar area near the White House building in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar. It is a bit of a unique spot because you have to come down the steps to find us, near the Mahaluxmi Diamond shop. Being in a basement means we do not get much natural light, but we have plenty of lamps to show off everything on the shelves. It is packed in here with all sorts of things we have collected to sell. We spend a lot of our time folding clothes or arranging items so people can see them clearly. It is a bit of a tight squeeze when we get more than four or five customers at once, but that is part of the charm of a local shop. The air is always a bit cooler down here than it is on the street level. We have a small counter where we wrap things up and chat with the people who live in the neighborhood. R.T. Nagar is a busy place, so there is always someone walking by the entrance. We have been here long enough that we know the faces of the regulars who stop in to see what is new. It is not a massive department store, just a small cellar shop where we keep things organized the best we can. We like the quiet pace of the basement, even if we have to sweep the steps every morning.
