Hardik Store

Hardik Store is located at 69-124/A on Kumarpet Main Road in Mahalaxmipuram. It is a pretty standard storefront that sits right on the busy main road. We open up early, usually before the sun is fully up, to get everything ready for the day. There is a lot of sweeping to do because the road outside is always kicking up dirt and leaves. The shelves are packed with all sorts of things, and sometimes it is hard to keep them all neat because people are always reaching for things. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when there are no customers, but we aren't on it for very long. The clock on the wall is about five minutes fast, but we never bother to fix it. We know everyone who walks in by their first name, and we usually know what they want before they even ask for it. It gets a bit hot in the middle of the day, so we have a small plastic fan that sits right on the counter to keep us cool. The back room is a bit of a mess with empty boxes and extra stock that we haven't found a place for yet. We just try to keep things simple and make sure everyone gets what they came for without any fuss. It’s a small life, but it keeps us busy from dawn until late in the evening every single day of the week.
