Setting up H R India was something we did because we saw a lot of folks struggling to navigate the whole employment scene. Our office is located in Gdfg, which is a bit of a quiet spot, but it works for us. We aren't a big corporation with shiny glass walls. It’s more of a place where you can actually sit down and talk about what kind of work you're looking for without feeling rushed. We handle a lot of the back-end stuff that people usually find boring, like checking references and sorting through resumes that come in through the mail. The internet can be a bit spotty here sometimes, so we still rely quite a bit on old-fashioned phone calls and face-to-face meetings. It's funny how things change, yet some parts of hiring stay exactly the same. You need a person who shows up on time and knows their stuff. We spend a lot of our time just trying to match those two things up. Sometimes the office gets a bit cluttered with files, and we keep saying we’ll organize it next Monday, but then Monday comes and we’re too busy talking to people. It’s a bit messy, but it’s our way of doing things. We’ve been here for a bit now and have gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. It’s not a bad way to make a living, helping people find their next spot in the world.
