Our office is in Dasarahalli, right across from the Bata Showroom. It’s a convenient spot because everyone knows where the showroom is. We run a lorry service from here, which means our lives revolve around schedules, drivers, and the main road. The area is always full of vehicles and the sound of horns. We spend most of our time at the desk, keeping track of where the lorries are and when they’ll be back. It’s not a fancy job. There’s a lot of paperwork with logs and receipts, and the phone rings quite a bit with people asking about their goods. Sometimes things get delayed because of traffic or a breakdown, and we have to figure it out on the fly. That’s just the nature of transport work. The office itself is pretty basic, just enough room for us to sit and manage the daily tasks. We don’t have a big corporate team; it’s just a few of us making sure the business stays moving. We’ve been at this Dasarahalli location for a bit, and the Bata showroom across the way is a constant sight. We focus on getting things from one point to another without making a big fuss about it. It’s honest work, even if it gets a bit stressful when the roads are blocked or the weather is bad. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the drivers are okay and the loads arrive safely.
