We spend most of our time here at 23 Varthur Phase-Iv, right across from Chairman Venkatagirirayappa’s house. It’s a busy spot in the neighborhood. Most days you’ll find us surrounded by stacks of wood and the smell of polish. The shop isn't fancy or anything, just a workspace where things actually get done. Sometimes the sawdust gets everywhere, especially when the wind picks up through the door. We started H M S Furniture because we like making things that last. It’s not just about selling chairs or tables, it’s about making sure the legs don't wobble after a week of use. People usually find us by looking for the Chairman’s house since everyone knows that landmark. If you walk in, you might have to wait a minute while someone finishes up a cut or wipes their hands. We don't have a receptionist in a suit here. It’s usually just one of us in dusty clothes. We’ve been in this part of Varthur for a while now. The neighborhood is changing fast with new buildings, but we’re still here doing the same thing. Sometimes we sit outside for a tea break and watch the traffic go by. It’s a simple life, but we like it. The floor is usually a bit messy by afternoon, but that’s just how it is when you’re working with your hands. We try to keep things honest and talk to people like neighbors instead of customers. If something needs fixing, we just fix it. That's the way it goes here.
