We’ve been here at 145/B Rajajinagar for a while now. It’s a busy spot in Shriman Society and the noise of the steel moving around is just part of our day. Mostly we just deal with the metal coming in and going out to different sites. It gets pretty dusty and the workers are always busy lifting things. People usually find us easily because everyone knows this corner of Rajajinagar. We don’t have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a lot of steel and some basic tools to get the jobs finished. Sometimes the traffic outside is a mess but we manage. Most of the guys here have been working with these materials for years so they know the weight of things just by looking. It’s hard work and the sun gets hot on the metal in the afternoons. We keep our records in a simple way and try to keep things moving. There’s always someone around if you stop by the shop. It isn’t a glamorous business but it’s what we do. The neighborhood has changed a lot since we started but H M L Steel is still in the same place. If you're coming down Shriman Society road, you'll see the stacks of pipes and sheets. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay organized enough to get home on time. It's a simple operation really. We don't need much more than our tools and some space to work.
