Guru Financial Services

Our office is over in Girinagar on the 14th Cross. We’re up on the 1st floor of Sumitra Nilayam in the M C Layout. It’s more of a homey building than a cold office block. At Guru Financial Services, we spend most of our time surrounded by stacks of paper and heavy files. Dealing with financial stuff means a lot of forms and double-checking numbers, which can get a bit tiring by late afternoon. We usually have a pot of tea going to keep us focused on the tasks. The room isn't very large, so when a few people come in at once, it feels pretty crowded. We’ve got some old wooden desks and chairs that have been with us since we started this business. It’s a quiet neighborhood mostly, though you can hear the kids playing outside sometimes or a dog barking. We don't have fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of our notes are still written down in big ledgers. People from the layout come to us because we’ve been here for a long time and they know our faces. We aren't fast-talking city types. We just sit down, go through the papers, and try to get everything in order for them. Sometimes we stay late when it's tax season, and the lights of the building stay on long after the neighbors have gone to bed. It’s just regular work that needs to be done right. That’s how we do things.
